AN adoption society which helps families in Warrington has been commended for the quality of its work.
The Department of Health has published an inspection report, stating that the Manchester Adoption Society's direct involvement with children is "of an excellent quality".
The society is described as imaginative and thoughtful by the inspectors, who spent a week reading files, interviewing staff and consulting adopters and birth families.
Adopters and prospective adopters told the inspectors that they were impressed by the warm welcome they had received and the prompt response to initial enquiries.
