ISSUES of privacy at Warrington Hospital's sexual health clinic need to be addressed, an NHS watchdog report has revealed.
The Commission for Health Improvement (CHI) has raised concerns about the location of the Genito Urinary Medicine (GUM) clinic, which shares waiting areas and treatment rooms with another service.
However, the report also shows that patients feel that they are treated with respect and dignity during their stay.
And North Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust is praised for its commitment to ensuring that Warrington and Halton hospitals are clean, with light, well-signposted corridors, and for setting up a readership panel for patient information.
The CHI assessment collects information from patients and the public, carers, GPs and neighbouring organisations, as well as trust staff.
Paul Cronin, the trust's chief executive, said that it is working with local primary care trust colleagues to enhance its sexual health service provision.
