POLICE have arrested three Warrington people following a series of high profile raids to clamp down on child pornography.
Detectives made 17 arrests on October 8, at 19 different addresses across Cheshire, in connection with allegations of making and possessing pornographic pictures of children.
A large amount of computer equipment was seized which will now be examined by specialists who are trained to preserve evidential material.
The three people arrested in Warrington have been released on police bail, pending further enquiries, for a period believed to be up to three months.
The operation follows an FBI inquiry into child pornography, where agents collected names of credit card subscribers to indecent websites and passed lists to UK police forces.
