THE task of completing Warrington's electoral register will intensify over the next few weeks when the council makes personal visits to those who have not yet responded.
Although 65 per cent of properties have already responded to the initial canvass, there remains a great number of people who will not be able to vote in any election or referendum during the current year.
Follow up calls will now be made until Sunday, October 20, with a revised register published on December 1.
Clr Mike Hughes, leader of Warrington Borough Council, said: "Democracy and freedom of choice really do matter and we hope that people fill out their electoral registration forms to give them that opportunity."
