THE Albion A team made it two wins out of two on Saturday with a good win over local rivals Rylands.
Most of the work was done in the first half with Stu Featherstone, Terry McCabe and the returning Andy Yates running well while Anthony Knight led the way in the tackling department.
A bonus for the Albion was the return of Paul Rostance who scored two tries in the first half followed by Ste Walsh, Neil Unsworth and Neil Whitfield.
Two Danny Doherty goals opened up a 24-4 interval lead for the Albion.
But the home side seemed to lift their foot off the accelerator in the second half and their only score was a converted try by Featherstone in reply to a similar effort by Rylands.
Debutant Mike Grady who, with Rostance and Doherty, orchestrated the backs to ensure a good win.
The Albion are at home to Haydock this week (kick-off 2.30pm) on Leigh Rec while the A team make the short journey to face Widnes St Maries A.
