THE new Alice entered her very own Wonderland last week when the harvest festival nominations were made at Daresbury church.
Clair Sinker and Zoe Isherwood, aged 10, were appointed for yearly duties and took over from Michaela Kay, who has enjoyed a hectic year appearing at events and television shows.
The two girls will perform a variety of roles within the church, including appearing at the Daresbury Garden open day and church fete in June, and handing out Christingle candles.
The Rev David Felix, vicar at All Saints Daresbury, said appointing two Alices was not usual practice but deciding between the two girls had been an impossible task.
If anyone wants to invite Alice to social engagements contact Ken Oultram, secretary of the Lewis Carroll Society, on 01606 891 303 (office hours).
