I WAS wondering if you would like to alert people out and about around town during the weekends about a conman operating about the centre.

I have seen him on five separate occasions on a Saturday night and have been approached by him on three occasions.

He is a well-dressed individual approximately 28 years of age and uses the story that he has been stranded in Warrington and needs to raise funds to catch the last train back to Wigan at 10.30 since he has spent up. He is very well spoken and polite, but is conning people into handing over their cash. Beggars are one thing, but con men are another! Just wondered whether you would like to include this on your letters' page to warn people of the town out and about during Friday and Saturday night.
