BURTONWOOD and Westbrook Parish Council has decided to donate £500 to the Forshaw Fund - and councillors are asking Burtonwood Brewery to match the offer.
The fund was set up by the Forshaw family when they owned the village's brewery and every year money is collected and distributed to five local primary schools.
Youngsters at Burtonwood CP School, St Paul of the Cross RC Primary, Callands Primary, Westbrook Old Hall Primary and St Philip Westbrook Primary will receive an equal share to spend on a Christmas treat.
