WE are always hearing about the latest developer's plans for more shops and nightclubs, but are there no plans for a new swimming pool complex, or as mentioned by a previous correspondent, a town centre cinema?
I regularly travel with my family to Stockport, where there is a 50-metre swimming pool, cinema, bowling alley and a number of restaurants in a small area. A development such as this would be of real benefit to the people of Warrington and would bring more visitors to the town centre.
The land opposite Central Station would be an ideal site. Has the council any plans for this area?
