IT'LL be all change at Cinnamon Brow Primary School when a little bit of ground force gets under way to overhaul the school's playing field.
With the aid of lottery funding, the school plans to develop school land and an adjacent pond area to create a community garden.
Teacher Annette Gibbs said: "It'll be a place where people can come to relax and reflect, and where the children can benefit from an enriched curriculum that the development will support.
"We've already had a lot of support from the community with the residents' associations and our parish councillors helping us out."
And the children just can't wait to get started on the project, drawing up plans for the land, which will be incorporated into the final landscape.
Even the measurements and scale of the design are being adapted to the curriculum, giving pupils the chance to put their maths into practice.
The school's lottery bid is supported by the Mersey Valley partnership, the Mersey Forest, the LEA and parents.
Any businesses willing to help the school with their lottery bid should contact the school on 821108.
