A GREAT Sankey cemetery is getting ready to stop burials - but people are being given a last chance to make their views known.
The Home Office is intending to apply for an order to discontinue burials at St Mary's Church cemetery.
Burials will still be allowed for bodies of any member of the family already in the grave, subject to certain conditions.
Any representations about the proposed closure should be sent to The Home Office, Room 972, 50 Queen Anne's Gate, London, SW1H 9AT, quoting reference BCR/99 13/2/71, within 21 days.
