CHILDREN and parents alike are guaranteed to be frightened out of their skins later this month at a special Hallowe'en event.

Hallowe'en Half Term Haunting at the Old Hall is making its annual appearance at Tatton Park and all are invited to attend and witness the spooky goings on at Cheshire's most famous country estate.

Running through the school holiday week, October 23 to 28, the fantastic setting provides the perfect place for the Hallowe'en event including an opportunity for those who attend to dress up and scare themselves silly.

This year the ghost story that is used to provide the dramatic backdrop for the storytelling is one of a wartime paratrooper who falls through time and space in search of the Tatton Witches of Old Hall.

The Hallowe'en spectacular provides a great opportunity for children of all ages to be entertained and use their imaginations to help the hero reach his quest in this history mystery.

The event is supported by Cheshire County Council and Clr Elspeth Wallace believes it is a chance not to be missed.

She said: "This is a great chance for children to be entertained and use their imagination. Everyone, young and old, will be mystified as they follow the story of the paratrooper as he wanders the spooky setting of the Old Hall and meets plenty of ghosts and witches en-route."

Tickets for the experience, which runs from noon to 4pm each day, are available from £2 by ringing 01625 534400.
