Hunslet Warriors 46
Crosfields 0
HUNSLET gained revenge on a Crosfields side that pipped them to the National Conference League Division Two title last season.
What a difference a few months have made. Crosfields' side is barely recognisable from the team that was so impressive last season. There have been wholesale changes in their playing ranks and they could not contain the Yorkshiremen.
Individuals battled bravely but a lack of possession in the first half enabled the home side to take a commanding lead.
As Hunslet's confidence grew, everything they tried seemed to come off. They continued to dominate possession in the second half and the constant tackling that Crosfields had to do sapped their energy and made it difficult for them to build in attack.
Eddie Bannon, Matt Mahoney and Marc Healey looked dangerous in spells but they lacked support on the few breaks that Crosfields made.
Crosfields play Featherstone at home on Saturday, kick-off 2.30pm.
