It's a story as old as show business itself. Girl-next-door with a terrific pair of lungs records internationally acclaimed album enjoying global success, whilst vowing to remain a virgin till her wedding night.

Meets dodgy boyfriend. Has heart broken. Divorces parents. Decides to ditch holier-than-thou image in favour of a micro skirt, far too much make up and a colourful love life.

Think Charlotte Church emerging from her boyfriend's pad with a fag dangling from her lip. Well it appears Leann Rimes has decided to go down the same well trodden road.

Cover shots for Twisted Angel feature Ms Rimes simmering in a nightie, no doubt pouting her message that she is all grown up.

If you were expecting more warbling about the moonlight, you'll be disappointed. Leann has more to shout about these days in her distinctive and powerful vocals.

There's a few guaranteed top tens for both sides of the water on this latest effort. Pleasant enough but not really worth getting your kit off to promote love.

One Globe out of five. MC
