WEAVER Vale housing tenants will be given the chance to make their voices heard with the introduction of new discussion forums.

The housing association is calling on all tenants and stakeholders to get involved by raising subjects of concern including rents, repairs, improvements and even anti-social behaviour.

The first meeting will take place at Winsford Civic Hall on Wednesday, March 5.

It will also give residents the opportunity to hear how the trust is performing in providing tenant services.

Tracy Ollier, tenant participation officer at the trust, said: "It's important to us that tenants have their say because we want them to be involved in shaping the future of the trust and its services.

"The emphasis of the area forums will be determined by the issues raised by the people who attend.

"We've never tried anything like this before - in the past there has been a joint meeting for different areas. But we think the local focus will be more effective.

"The people who come through the doors may not have been to a forum like this before but that doesn't matter. New faces and new ideas are welcome."

Any tenants who want to attend but have problems with transport should contact Tracey Ollier on 01606 545189.
