THEY'RE not just there for the bad things in life, as Co-op Funeral employees demonstrated when they presented a cheque for £800 to St Rocco's Hospice, the proceeds of their own 'Light up a Life' campaign.
In conjunction with St Rocco's own campaign, Co-op funeral directors erected a tree in their own grounds and families of loved ones who had passed through the funeral directors sponsored lights on the tree.
Hospice chairman, Clr Celia, Jordan switched on the lights at the ceremony which raised £800 for the charity.
Mike Bloomfield, from the hospice, said: "We are very grateful for the fantastic support the Co-op has given us. The money raised will be a great help to patients at the hospice and their carers."
