THE funeral took place recently of Jack Buckley, husband of the late Enid Buckley of Station Road, Winsford, who died on January 27, aged 82.
Jack was the father of Karen and grandfather of Joseph. He was born in Keele, Staffordshire and has lived the majority of his life in Winsford. He was employed by British Gas for many years and was captain of the British Gas First Aid Team.
He was a lifelong member of the Winsford and District Motor Club and a member of Northwich Cricket Club, becoming vice-president and umpire for Cheshire in later years.
He will be sadly missed by friends and colleagues throughout Mid-Cheshire who knew him as the perfect gentleman.
Family, relatives and many friends attended the service at St Chad's Church, Over, prior to cremation at Crewe Crematorium. The Rev Glenys Brown officiated.
Floral tributes and donations to Cancer Research UK and the Multiple Sclerosis Society were received.
Arrangements were by Pope Funeral Services, Winsford.
