A PIONEERING 'walk in' health centre is being launched.
It will be situated beside Asda in Hale Road and open to all Widnes residents.
The Halebank Primary Care Centre opens on Monday, March 3.
It will be available from Monday to Thursday 9am-12 noon and 1pm-5pm and Friday mornings from 9am to 12 noon.
This nurse led service will offer treatment and advice on a wide range of ailments. No appointments are necessary.
Minor injuriescan be treated as well as minor ailments, including diahorrea, hayfever, vomiting.
Vaccinations for overseas travel, smear tests, blood pressure checks and cholesterol checks are available Monday to Thursday from 9am-12 noon.
Blood and urine tests can be carried out, by appointment, any weekday morning. Call 0151-423 0303 to book.
Drug and alcohol advice will be available at a drop in clinic every Wednesday from 1pm-2.30pm.
If you are trying to give up smoking, support and advice is offered every Tuesday, by appointment, from 9am-11am and 1pm-5pm. A drop in clinic will be open from 11am-12 noon.
