Parklands FC 9 Burtonwood Albion 3
PARKLANDS bounced back from their 6-1 defeat at Orford FC with this one-sided affair; the opposition only scoring from two set pieces and a fluke goal.
Man of the match, Clive Tillett, who claimed a deserved hat-trick, was matched by some wonderful clinical finishing by Winnie Winstanley (4).
The club also saw the return from injury of captain Davy Gannon marked with a blistering header from 10 yards. Also on the scoresheet was Lee Keenan who slid in on Gannon's cross.
A further three chances could have easily been taken as supersub, Simon Howard, showed his blistering pace against the tired opponents only to be narrowly off target.
Parklands take on division two leaders, Monks Sports FC, at home on Saturday in the Warrington and District Football League (kick-off 2.30pm).
