LATEST results by all leading teams in the Darts Divisions of the Carlsberg-Tetley Open League enhanced their title chances.

Premier Darts pacemakers RAOB A had a bye, but still lead by two points after 5-3 wins by main challengers Lady A and Vine A did little to indicate that they could muster a significant threat.

Fourth placed Pioneers were beaten 5-3 by visitors Raven, their fourth match since a win, to drop eight points off the pace.

Top marksman was John Speed (Vine A) with a 13 darter. Team mate John Cooper won in 14 and 17, Mark Jodrill (Commercial) in 15 and 19 and Steve Thompson (Lady A) hit a 15 darter. Pete Boughey (Pioneers) won with 16 and 17 darters, Paul Gilligan (Raven) hit a 16 darter and a brace of 180s and 16 dart legs were hit by Steve Butler (Commercial), Phil Stockton (Pioneers) and Lee Cole (Hawk). Ken Wrighton (Amals A) hit a 17 darter and Commercial duo Chris Clayton and Lee Cooper hit 18 dart legs, Lee ending his with a 103 checkout. Howard Bateman (Vine A) and Carl Dennell (Hawk) hit 19 darters and respective 111 and 104 checkouts came from Malc Griffin (Amals A) and Dave Smart (Pioneers). Other maximum men were Terry Walker (Vine A), Steve Hassall (Polish A), Jeff Dawson (Lady A) and Warren Hollands (Raven).

Division 1 Darts toppers Bridge C beat LMR A 5-3 to go six points clear of South St Snooker, held to a draw by visitors Polish C.

ASLEF Oddies walloped bottom team Liberal A 7-1 to maintain their challenge on the top two.

Amals B gained their first win in great style with an emphatic 7-1 trouncing of fellow strugglers Bridge A. Ron Louth (Polish C) clinched his win with a 16 darter, John Hassall (Amals B) hit a bull finish to a 117 checkout and Richard Edwards (South St) and Liam Herring (Bridge C) both hit maximum 180s.

Division 2 Darts runaway leaders Delamere beat bottom team Cumberland 6-2 and have an unassailable two match lead with only four to play.

Second placed Woodside lost 5-3 to visitors Hop Pole, so Cosey Club's 5-3 win at Earl of Chester means they now trail by one point.

Division 3 leaders Rockwood beat third placed LMR B 6-2 to go 11 points clear of British Lion B, 5-3 winners at North Ward. Robert Meakin (Imperial) hit a 180.

Sydney B now have a firmer grasp on the Division 4 Darts shield after beating second placed Lady B 6-2.

Third placed Vine B beat Crosville Club 5-3 to reduce their deficit on Lady B to two points. Graham Baldwin (Sydney A) registered a maximum 180.

PREMIER Dominoes leaders Lady A move 11 points clear after beating fourth placed Commercial 6-2.

Second placed Hawk were beaten 5-3 by Amalgamated A and third placed Polish A sacrificed a 5-0 lead in their 5-3 defeat of Vine A.

Division 1 Dominoes top two clashed, Bridge A going ten points clear after a 5-3 win at Amals B.

Division 2 Dominoes leaders Delamere have only a single point lead after being held to a draw at Cumberland.

Second placed Cosey club beat Earl of Chester 5-3 and lead Kings A by two points after the latter drew with lowly Nags Head.

Division 3 Dominoes top two also met, Coppenhall Leighton now taking charge of top spot by a point after walloping Nantwich Road Club 6-2.

Third placed Rockwood continue to hold on after drawing at LMR B.

Division 4 Dominoes toppers Kings B were beaten 5-3 by Sydney A, who, again did their B team a favour after the latter could only draw with Lady B.

Crown hammered hosts Leisure Club 7-1 to return to contention.
