I SEE that Halton Council is being economical with the truth when they state using military crews during the fire dispute must come out of the council tax.
They don't have to pay the firemen their salary when they are on strike.
Service personnel are on less pay than their counterparts in civvy street, so that should leave them in the black.
I ask myself where does this surplus go? Into the council's 'jollies' fund no doubt! One very fed up and angry, full council tax payer.
