DO you work for a local council? If so, do you feel you are paid enough and valued for what you do? A Local Government Pay Commission has been set up to examine the pay and conditions of council workers.
UNISON - the biggest trade union in local government - is gathering evidence to submit to the Commission. Do you have a story about:
l Low pay and the impact on the services you provide
l Staff shortages and/or high staff turnover and the stress this causes
l Unequal pay for women and unfair treatment of part time and term time workers
l Privatisation of local government services and the impact on your pay and conditions You may have left a job in local government recently.
If so, UNISON would like to know why.
Did any of the above issues affect your decision? Please drop us a line on any of these topics to the address below or send an e-mail to lgpaycom@unison.co.uk
