EIGHT boys from Widnes rugby teams helped the side to a historic first victory in this annual fixture.
Back rowers Alan Carr, Kevin Farrow and Andy White formed the most dynamic unit, supported by props Liam Morton and Chris McLoughlin, centre Adam Bowman, winger Neal Liu and fullback Adam Kelly.
Lancashire took the lead after just three minutes through Liu and, eight minutes later, Carr powered over by the posts.
The boys now face Yorkshire at West Park RUFC, St Helens, next Wednesday (kick-off 2pm).
