THERE was pandemonium among shoppers at a supermarket when a car burst into flames on its busy car park.

Worried shoppers scrambled to shift their cars away from the flaming vehicle after the Morrisons store on Boundary Road store announced a car was ablaze outside.

One onlooker said: "The flames were leaping three or four foot into the air from inside the car, and I had to move my car to safety. Thankfully though, the fire brigade arrived promptly and efficiently put out the blaze."
