IT'S a case of two's company and three's a crowd in the irresistible comedy Love and Marriage starring Adam Faith at The Regent Theatre, Stoke from Monday, March 3 until Saturday, March 8.

Bill is just one of those guys. Women adore him. Men are jealous of him. He's a sly dog as far as members of the opposite sex are concerned.

But how long can his luck hold out?

Bill is played by Adam Faith, a man who knows a thing or two about love - and marriage.

He's sung about love, discovered Love Hurts with Zo Wanamaker - and now he's about to break up a marriage in Donald Churchill's bittersweet comedy Love and Marriage.

Adam makes a welcome return to the stage after a seven year absence, playing a serial philanderer, a golf-playing dentist whose shenanigans with younger women means he lies to his long-suffering wife every day of his life.

The trouble is, he asks his friend Tony to tell lies for him too, to cover for him!

Meanwhile, Tony is having a mid-life crisis of his own.

Frustrated by getting to the age of 45, he has a dead end job, a mortgage, kids at university and plenty of unfulfilled ambition.

However, his wife Ruth seems quite contented - or is she?

Adam Faith made his name as one of Britain's top pop stars, with a string of top ten hits.

His television work includes Budgie and Love Hurts and films include Stardust, and McVicar.

He was last seen on stage more than seven years ago in the long-running West End hit Alfie.

A comedy with a serious undercurrent about the futility of middle-age romance, Love and Marriage comes from the pen of Donald Churchill, whose plays are currently undergoing a revival.

Love and Marriage comes from one of the UK's leading theatre producers Theatre Royal Bath Productions.

Described by The Guardian as 'increasingly influential', TRBP is now firmly established as a major production powerhouse.

Recent TRBP projects have included the revival of Abigail's Party currently running at the New Ambassadors and Up for Grabs starring Madonna.
