THE shock dismissal of Michael Thompson after 18 minutes reduced Mond to 10 men.
The Capenhurst officials were as amazed Mond were at the referee's decision to give a foul against the visitors' forward.
Thompson felt he had not committed any offence and when he protested the referee sent him off.
A stranger decision followed when a throw in to Mond brought the referee's whistle, which resulted in Linnett picking the ball up. He was then booked for handball, followed into the book by Ged Bushell who also questioned the decision.
Mond went a goal down when a clearance by Cogswell rebounded off Keefe into the net.
Hide should have given Mond the lead earlier but his shot rebounded off the keeper.
Mond went two down when a shot came back off the post to Smith, who side-footed home.
Cogswell had a powerful header tipped over by the keeper and then Hide hit a powerful 25-yard shot to force another save.
The second half saw Mond create further chances but when Gill cleared a back pass, the ball hit Johnson and went in off the post.
Mond were awarded a penalty in the 72nd minute when Worthington was pushed, Bushell hammering the ball home.
Laughton then hit the post as Mond pressed forward.
A freekick by Garland flashed inches wide of the upright with the keeper stranded. Man of the match was Ged Bushell.
Next Saturday, Mond are home to Mersey Royal in division two of the West Cheshire League (kick-off 2.30pm).
