THE funeral was held recently for Gwendoline Gleave who died on January 22, aged 96.
Gwen was born in Northwich to parents Edward and Jane Wilding.
They had three boys and Gwen was the eldest of their four daughters.
She was brought up in Northwich and continued to live there after she married her husband Samuel Gleave. She was widowed in 1972.
Gwen worked as a cleaner at the Brine Compensation Board until she was in her eighties. She also loved baking.
She leaves daughter Beryl, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren
The Rev Adam Friend conducted the service at St Helen's Church prior to committal at Altrincham Crematorium.
As well as family flowers donations were received for Daneside Court Nursing Home.
