The funeral was held recently for Sarah (Sally) Gregory who died on January 23, aged 74.
Sally was one of nine children born to parents Ernest and Sarah Whalley. She was brought up in Moulton where she attended school.
In 1950 she married Richard Gregory at Moulton Church and they settled in Moulton where she remained all her life. She was widowed in 1975.
During the war Sally worked at the bacon factory in Winsford and later part-time at Beresford's in Holmes Chapel.
Sally's interests included writing letters to the Royal Family and she cherished the replies received from Buckingham Palace. She also enjoyed playing bingo.
She leaves three sons and two daughters, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brothers Silas, Fred and Bill and sister Betty.
The Rev Andy Greenhough conducted the service at Moulton Parish Church prior to committal at Crewe Crematorium. Donations were received for Moulton Old Friends' Club and the Coffee and Chat Club.
