GENEROUS pupils from Burtonwood Primary School have done themselves proud by raising cash for a neighbouring Newton school.
Burtonwood's young fundraisers got together to raise £150 for Mill Green School to help them pay for a new minibus. The children, aged between seven and 11, accumulated the cash by performing a top production of Cinderella that was very well attended by staff and parents in support of Mill Green's cause.
Teacher Barbara Smith was delighted with the children's efforts. She said: "The children have worked extremely hard and got a great deal of satisfaction from the experience. We're very proud."
Some of the proceeds were also donated to leukaemia and haemophilia trusts.
