ITS that time of year again, yes the Brit Awards 2003 will be hitting our screens tonight, Thursday, and as usual the nominated artists feature on a two disc awards album.

Featuring artists such as punk girl, Avril Lavigne, mellow rockers Coldplay and the electronic sounds of Moby, the album surely caters for every musical taste. CD one takes you back to the Brit Pop era with the likes of Oasis, Badly Drawn Boy and David Gray.

The CD isn't that bad, but it leaves you feeling rather depressed as nearly all of the songs are slow, and none of them make you feel too good so it's a welcome change when you stick CD two in to your player.

Stars including the popstars losers or winners, as they are now, Liberty X, Hearsay who?, urban stars Big Brovaz and the smooth Craig David are all present here although some songs are a mystery to me. Will Young's massive number one Evergreen is left out in place of Light My Fire and Daniel Bedingfield's number one If You're Not The One is missing with his dreadful number two hit James Dean appearing instead.

The album on a whole is quiet good, I suggest you find somebody you know who likes Brit Pop or if you like it find someone who likes pop and r 'n' b and split the price and one of you have one disc and one of you have the other. The Brits is on ITV tonight, Thursday, with live performances from Avril Lavigne, Blue, Justin Timberlake and many more. Andi Edwards
