WARRINGTON pop-rockers The Tin Can Rockets have returned to the local live circuit this month after taking care of business with a management company in London.
The four-piece have performed at Stamps Wine Bar in Crosby, the town's very own Barley Mow and The Roadhouse in Manchester in order to retain their strong local interest.
London-based Sharp Management has taken the group under their wing and made moves to court the band some major-label interest. This follows on from the Rockets putting two songs together during their stint in London, True Star and Not For The Girl You Think, which were recorded and produced with Peter Lorentz.
Lorentz's impressive CV of production credits include tweaking the knobs for big names such as The Buzzcocks, James and Supergrass.
The band has been together for nine months and recorded their first three-track demo CD in July 2002. The demo attracted the attention of several independent labels across the country and the first track Pout, was released on an unsigned compilation through Matchbox Recordings at the end of last year.
