IF you still don't believe that chips can be healthy as well as popular, then look at these facts:
l 100g of oven chips contains 12mg of vitamin C and four times less fat than a tuna mayonnaise sandwich
l Thick chips absorb less oil than thin ones because they have a proportionately lower surface area
l Fresh and frozen chips are free from the artificial preservatives and colourings found in many other fast foods
l Oven chips are a good choice if you want to enjoy chips as they contain only about 4g fat per 100g serving
l Try flavouring chips with paprika, chilli powder or fresh black pepper as a healthier alternative to salt and vinegar.
