YOUNGSTERS in Winwick are taking an active interest in school life after being elected on to their new council.
Pupils at Winwick Primary School, on Myddleton Lane, stood in the election, where children were asked to present a mini manifesto, detailing what they would like to see happen at school.
Their classmates voted for whom they wanted as their representative, and two pupils were chosen from each year group, from year two to year six.
The school councillors have already had their first termly meeting, where they discussed plans for how they want to change things at school.
