WARRINGTON Wolves supporters are continuing to get behind young talent in the town.
At last night's, Wednesday's, Squadbuilder meeting, fans elected to sponsor the contracts of rising stars Jamie Durbin and Nick Owen this year.
Scrum half Durbin and full back Owen have been training with the first team and are competing for places in Paul Cullen's side after rising through the club's ranks.
The Squadbuilder fund was set up last year, with supporters' contributions being used to help develop juniors.
Also, a bursary of £400 is to be made available to five rising talents in the game as reimbursement for educational and training costs plus certain dietary supplements.
The players to benefit are Danny Aboushakra, who plays for Crosfields Under 16s and goes to Sir Thomas Boteler School; Craig Cornellia, who attends St. Gregorys High and plays for Woolston; Chris Hull, who is a pupil of Gt Sankey High School and plays at Crosfields; Luke Murfin, who currently plays for Leigh Miners and Lee Smith, who attends Birchwood High school and plays at Crosfields.
