A GROUP of students from Priestley College have been hit by fundraising fever to help them on their way to Costa Rica.
Six teenagers took part in a bag pack at Morrisons supermarket in Stockton Heath, and a sponsored car wash at the college for staff and students.
Seventeen-year-old Rachel Carters, from Rixton, said: "We packed bags for three hours and we were very tired by the end.
"Most people were grateful for our help and asked questions and were interested to hear why we were raising money."
Rachel added: "I'm really looking forward to the visit as it is a once in a lifetime opportunity."
The youngsters collected £291.45 and they are hoping to continue with their fundraising efforts by holding a cake sale and raffle.
