THE borough council has given notice that it intends to make the current traffic restrictions in the town centre permanent.
The restrictions were initiated when the town centre public art and landscaping works were introduced, resulting in restricted space along Buttermarket Street, around Market Gate and along Horsemarket Street.
The restrictions include a ban on HGVs heavier than 7.5 tonnes and all other vehicles, unless they carry a category A or B permit. Objections must be sent in writing to the Town Hall by March 3.
