POLICE have launched a fresh witness appeal as they hunt for the offenders involved in an armed robbery at the Lloyds TSB bank in Culcheth.
Terrified members of staff had a gun pointed at them when at least two raiders burst into the bank, on Warrington Road, at 6pm on Friday, February 7. They escaped with a substantial amount of money, and a man wearing a Balaclava was seen, a few minutes later, setting fire to a red Seat Leon car in a car park on Jackson Avenue.
A reward is available for anyone providing information about the armed robbery which leads to the arrest and conviction of the offenders.
One suspect is white, of a stocky to medium build, and was wearing a blue or black Balaclava and three-quarter-length black coat.
Anyone with information should telephone police on 652222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
