Miss Elizabeth Riley died on January 3, aged 88.
Miss Riley, of Woodleigh Residential Nursing Home, and formerly of Troutbeck Avenue, Bewsey, lived in Warrington for most of her life.
She worked in her family's fish and chip shop for many years, and later in life was a domestic in a children's home until her retirement.
Mrs Riley enjoyed socialising with her friends at the over-60s club, watching television and reading.
She leaves several nieces and nephews.
A service was held on January 10 at St Barnabas' Church, followed by cremation at Walton Lea. The Rev Karen Timmis officiated.
Arrangements were made by Co-operative Funeral Services.
