WARRINGTON crashed out of the Thwaites Lancashire Cup in a controversial game at Fleetwood.
They lost the services of Peter Holce on 10 minutes. He was sent off after the intervention of a touch judge, who later confessed to making the wrong decision.
The influential Nick Yardley, who picked up an injury, also left the field early.
Warrington failed to utilise the wind in the first half but with James Shaw and Danny Bates introduced into the action, they played better with the ball-in-hand in the second half.
However, the combination of a heavy pitch and a strong wind ensured that Warrington made little headway.
On Saturday, Warrington return to league action with a visit to basement club Ormskirk.
