Eccleston Lions 32 Adlington Rangers A 0
LIONS completed a comfortable league double over Rangers to move up the table for the third week in succession.
The home side led 22-0 at the break with tries by David Ball, Ian Winstanley (2) and Martin Blake, with Ball adding three conversions.
In the second half the conditions became heavy and this slowed the Lions down restricting them to just two further touchdowns by Derek Hall and David Johnstone. Ball added his fourth conversion to complete the scoring.
Winstanley was the Nicols Foods man-of-the-match for Eccleston, with David Harmon winning the Birkett Motors Players' Player award.
