AN ENTERPRISING community caf has won a £4,000 lottery grant.
The Kitchen Invaders project, developed to promote healthy eating, has received the cash from the National Lottery's Awards for All programme.
It means the Widnes initiative, run by a pioneering community group, can now be launched.
Pam Wallace, project secretary, said: "The funding has made a difference between the project taking off and not taking off. It has allowed us to get the equipment needed to provide a service in the community that will encourage the most isolated people to get involved."
