Mr M Williams seems to have misunderstood or misread the article relating to older drivers. We, in fact, said we do not want to see anyone being stopped from driving or even banned when they reach a certain age, but to have more stringent tests when you do get older.
If Mr Williams was in our position, grieving the loss of a son or grandson because that son was a victim of such a tragic accident, with an 87-year-old driver, then I'm sure he would want the same.
I asked if we would still be driving at 87 and the answer would definitely be no.
I know you would be lost without your car, but we are lost without our son.
