WE have been contacted by Cherryl of Liverpool, who has a tale of a haunted house she used to own.

Cherryl said: "For seven years I owned a property in Knowsley Village, Liverpool. It was an old coach house aged nearly 200 yrs old.

"It was in disrepair, and it took several years to get it back to its former glory. About six months into refurbishment, strange things began happening. Knocking on places where old doors and windows had been. A small black dog that used to run around your legs, and items going missing, only to turn up in bizzare locations weeks later."

She added: "The most weird circumstances my family found themselves in was when who or whatever was in the house began manifesting itself as members of the household. I felt it knew what it was doing as we could prove who was in the house and who was absent at these specific times. What started as silly incidents soon became more sinister. One instance is when a friend of my daughters stayed the night. The following morning my daughter got out of bed and told her friend to get breakfast. My daughter came out of the bathroom to see her friend still sat on the bed. She told her not to be shy, and follow her down to the kitchen.

"As my daughter got to the bottom of the stairs, she turned directly into the living room to see her friend already sat there eating cereal. Her friend could not have passed her on the staircase and to this day we still cannot explain that incident."
