FLOWER power will be coming to Halton this month with craft and wildlife activities for youngsters.

Halton Watch Group, which is affiliated to the Cheshire Wildlife Trust, meets once a month to carry out fun activities with wildlife and nature.

The group meets at a range of venues throughout the area for a programme of events.

The activities are open to all children - under-eights must be accompanied by an adult - and encourage an interest in local wildlife and habitats.

The next meeting is supported by a National Lottery grant and will be held at Pickerings Pasture, on Sunday, June 29.

Youngsters will be able to make giant wildflowers, insects on sticks, bug masks, kites, as well as learn circus skills and listen to a samba band.

A free park-and-ride service will operate from ASDA Runcorn.

For further information, contact watch leader, Sandra Vanezis, or Halton ranger, Anthony Dooley, at Spike Island on 0151-420 3707.
