LYMM May Queen festival takes place on Saturday and there will be the usual wide variety of entertainment on offer.
The procession leaves Brookfield Road in the village at 1.30pm and will feature appearances from the Deputy Mayor of Warrington, Clr Jan Davidson, as well as bands, horses and a number of floats, including ones from Statham, Cherry Tree and Oughtrington Primary Schools.
Attention will then turn to the May Queen field, where there will be an exploding fire engine and performances from Bozo and Zizi the clowns during the afternoon.
People are being urged to donate money as the procession makes its way through the village, with this money then being donated to Lymm and district charities.
Among the groups to benefit from last year's events was the Lymm Guides, which received camping equipment.
If you know of a group that would be a worthy recipient of funding, write to festival organiser Lynn Shaw at 85, Whitbarrow Road, Lymm, WA13 9AY.
