SEVEN schools in Warrington have been getting up close and personal with snakes and spiders as part of an environment week backed by the chemical industry.
Expert Dave Duckett introduced pupils to an array of mini beasts, also including giant millipedes and snails, at the Catalyst Museum in Widnes.
Youngsters from St Stephen's, Alderman Bolton, Our Lady's, St Alban's, Old Hall, Latchford and Bewsey Lodge Primary Schools looked at the life cycles and feeding habit of the weird and wonderful menagerie.
The week was arranged by Warrington Responsible Care Cell, a chemical industry association backed by firms such as Ineos Silicas, Lever Faberge, Solvay Interox and Vinamul.
