AN advice worker at Warrington Collegiate is celebrating after picking up a learner at work award.
Janette Ratcliffe works as a community advisor as well as an advice worker for the Trades Union Congress and her learning achievements were recognised as part of the celebrations for Warrington Adult Learners' Week.
The mum-of-four divides her time between offering impartial information and advice to those considering new learning opportunities or those already taking college courses in community venues.
Janette said: "It took me two years to pluck up the courage to come through the college doors - I was very scared.
"Eventually I enrolled on a Fresh Start course in business administration.
"Since then I've managed to progress and now I'm working more than full time and still studying as well."
