HE has been portrayed on TV as Britain's biggest slob - but Peter Arnold couldn't give a hoot. In fact, he reckons the show could catapult him to stardom!
The landlord of the Huntsman Pub in Haydock, was shown lying in bed until the early afternoon and soaking in the bath while everyone else was hard at work. Meanwhile, mother-in-law Mavis tended to his every need, while he couldn't be bothered lifting a finger.
But the morning after the show, which he had watched with regulars in the pub, gruff-voiced Peter said he was proud of the way he came across. With offers pouring in for TV appearances, the 36-year-old joked that he was rivalling comedy king Johnny Vegas as the town's number one celebrity.
Peter said: "I love myself the way I am and that's just my normal way of life. If it's not broke don't fix it I say.
The former boss of the Crystals nightclub added: "The phone has not stopped ringing so apparently I'm in demand. Trisha want me, and I've already been on GMTV... Johnny Vegas hasn't done that, has he."
