SAINTS second rower-cum-prop John Stankevitch faces a six week spell on the sidelines after he was carried off during Sunday's bruising encounter at Wilderspool.
The Widnes-based packman fell awkwardly under the force of a heavy challenge from Wires' robust prop Nick Fozzard.
But following specialist examination the injury has been diagnosed as ligament damage rather than a broken leg as first thought.
