NEW speed restrictions are being introduced in Appleton to help implement the borough council's Safer Routes to School plan.
Pedestrian and cycle facilities are being introduced to the existing traffic signals at the junction of London Road, Lyons Lane and Quarry Lane.
A 30 mph speed limit will come into force in the immediate vicinity of the crossing to encourage more children to walk and cycle to school.
